150 medical students forced to shave heads

Ragging is not a new word for most of us. Everyone has faced ragging in their colleges. But in a fresh case, as many as 150 first-year medical students in Uttar Pradesh were forced to shave their heads and salute their seniors
When the videos of these students marching past in front of their seniors, widely shared on social media platforms, the university authorities came into action.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Dr Raj Kumar defended the whole chaos and said that they had special squads to keep an eye on ragging incidents and in past also they have suspended the students for similar incidents.
"We keep a strict vigil on such activities and we have a separate dean social welfare for students. Further, we have an anti-ragging committee to deal with complaints," he said, adding, "We also have a special squad which visits every place in University to keep a check over ragging. The students can complain to the anti-ragging committee or even to their wardens."

He also promised that strict action will be taken in this matter.
The Vice-Chancellor has promised that action will be taken against the students who are involved in this.
"Strong action will be taken against those involved. We have suspended students earlier also. I want to assure juniors that they need not worry," he told news agency ANI.
