NEW DELHI: UPSC or the Union Public Service Commission released a revised programme of examinations on Friday, June 5. It also included the dates for Civil Services exams (prelims) for the year 2020 and recruitment tests.
The Civil Services Exams (prelims) 2020 has now been shifted to 4 October 2020 and the main exam is scheduled for 8 January 2021.

However, the revised schedule also said that these new dates regarding the notification, commencement and duration of exams "are liable to alteration, if the circumstances so warrant".
The personality test for the Civil Service (Main) Exams for the year 2019 will get resumed from July 20 for the remaining individuals. The statement said, "Candidates will be informed individually."
A total of 21 exams have been mentioned in the Revised Annual Calendar. This includes the Indian Economic Service Exam and Statistical Service Exams which are scheduled for October 16.
The NDA and NA exams will commence from September 6.
On May 20, a special meeting was organised by UPSE after the third phase of the lockdown was initiated, after which it was announced, "Taking notice of the extension of several restrictions, the Commission decided that it will not be possible to resume examinations and interviews, for the present."
