MUMBAI: One of the most successful shows of Indian Television history, 'Balika Vadhu' will get retelecast on Colors TV, beginning from 13 April 2020, i.e. today. Anup Soni, who is known for playing 'Bhairon Dharamveer Singh' in the television series announced the exciting news through his social media.
He took to his Instagram to share some behind the scenes pictures with the cast members of the show from the sets and wrote, " 'BALIKAVADHURETURNS' Watch #balikavadhuserial from today 13th April, #monday to #friday at 6 pm @colorstv

The official handle of Colours channel also shared a video featuring 'Avika Gor', the child actress from the show. She is seen singing the few verses of the theme song of the show, which also became popular as the show began airing. She requests everyone to stay home during these tough times and urges everyone to watch the re-telecast of "everyone's favourite show" along with her.
The show 'Balika Vadhu', which literally translates to 'child bride' is a show about the social evil of child marriage. This practice is prevalent in the state of Rajasthan still. The show was set in the rural side of Rajasthan and was based on the life of Anandi, a child bride and her journey from childhood to womanhood.

The show has also made history by being the first fictional show in the Indian television industry to have completed more than 2,000 episodes. The show aired from 2008 to 2016 i.e. 8 years.
