Wynk Music Beats Spotify, Apple Music Becoming The Number #1 Music Streaming App!

Wynk Music is a music streaming application that is available for download on both iOS as well as Android. Bharti Airtel India's second-largest telecom owns this service. Apps like Spotify, Apple Music are its competition. As per the latest claims by Airtel Wynk Music has become the no.1 music streaming app service in India beating its competitors.

Airtel has based this conclusion upon the total number of daily active users (DAUs) in India of the Wynk Music App.

According to the company, the primary interests of the listeners in India include Bollywood and International music which are Wynk's biggest categories and hence providing the users a vast range of music to choose from. Wynk has encountered a whopping 75% increase in regional music streaming.

The service offers content in 14 different languages which include Oriya, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Telegu, Assamese, etc. These contribute to approximately 26% of the total streams in a month.

Adarsh Nair, Chief Product Officer, Bharti Airtel said dropped an official statement:

“Regional content is clearly the new HERO as more users come online and look for content that is relevant to them. We aim to invest disproportionately for further expanding our regional content library and work with local artists to bring them to the online world of music,”

“The team is focused on building the most personalized music experience for our customers. Wynk’s deep catalogue of songs combined with a holistic understanding of our customer’s preferences allows us to build an incredible product.”

Airtel is using a unique way of attracting customers by providing free Wynk music access with every airtel recharge.
