Just Like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video Also Launches User Profiles

SAN FRANCISCO: Now more than one person can access amazon prime as the streaming giant has finally introduced the feature of having multiple profiles in one single account, quite similar to Netflix. Although the facility has only been made available in some countries, it will be accessible by every Prime Video user gradually.

Amazon Prime Video will provide the facility of creating different profiles within one account through this new feature. The streaming progress of different users will be tracked separately, watch lists can get managed and the users will also receive suggestions based on what they have previously watched.

Another kid-friendly feature has been added where mature series and shows for 18+ audience won't be available in the profile made by kids within the account.

As per close sources, out of all the 6 profiles within the account, one needs to be an adult (admin) profile, rest all can be for kids who are 12 years of age or below. More than one adult profiles can also be made within the account.

The feature of creating a new profile is available through the phone app and even web browsers. Multiple profiles can be made by simply going to the option of 'My Stuff' and then clicking on the '+' icon which is being displayed within.

Other than this, the users are viewing more content via online streaming giants globally as the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in many countries getting locked-down, as a result, people are depending on these services while in isolation.
