Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa shared an emotional Instagram post on Monday expressing her grief and anger over losing her husband and 13-year-old daughter to a tragic accident. On 26 January, Kobe and his daughter Gianna passed away along with 7 others in a helicopter crash.

The NBA star is survived by his wife Vanessa, 37, and three other daughters-- Natalia, 17, Bianka, 3, and 7-month-old Capri.

Vanessa put her raw feelings into words and said “My brain refuses to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone,” using her daughter's nickname. “I can’t process both at the same time. It’s like I’m trying to process Kobe being gone but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me.”

The sudden passing of the retired Los Angeles Lakers forward left fans and fellow athletes in a state of deep shock and grief.

Kobe was on his way to a youth basketball tournament where he was coaching his daughter and two other girls aboard with their family members when the luxury chopper crashed in Calabasas, California, outside Los Angeles.

The exact cause of the crash remains undetermined, but they are said to have been flying in dense fog.
