NEW DELHI: After showing sort of his support to the murder-accused AAP councilor Tahir Hussain, Javed Akhtar defends his earlier tweet with another one. Soon after his opinions on the politician, Akhtar was criticized for his support to an alleged murderer, whom the nation is calling a terrorist, thus, the writer tries to clear off what he meant.

Referring to all the people who spread violence in the national capital, Akhtar wrote, "So convenient to misunderstand me. I am not asking why Tahir I am asking why ONLY Tahir. Why not even an FIR against those who have openly threatened violence in the presence of the police. Even the HC has reservations about the role police has played in this orgy of violence."

Earlier, Akhtar questioned the consistency of the Delhi police who have only sealed the house of Tahir and others who were equally involved in the havoc created in the northeast of Delhi were roaming free. He wrote, "So many killed, so many injured, so many house burned, so many shops looted so many people turned destitutes but police has sealed only one house and looking for his owner. Incidentally his name is Tahir. Hats off to the consistency of the Delhi police."

Soon after, netizens reminded him that Tahir is supposedly involved in the brutal killing of an Intelligence Bureau officer, Ankit Sharma. The heart-wrenching murder of the officer that involved several stabs on his head and dumping of his corpse in a dump yard has been totally looked over by Bollywood's one of the best writers.

On the other hand, the AAP Municipal Councilor has been suspended by the Delhi's ruling party till he clears off his name and the Delhi police have registered an FIR against Hussain for murder. Ankit Sharma's family has accused the politician to be involved in the killing of the 26-year-old.
