MUMBAI: After enjoying the success of her latest release 'Mission Mangal', Vidya Balan is busy with her upcoming project 'Shakuntala Devi'. The movie is a biopic of "Human-Computer" Shakuntala Devi and has also gotten its release date.
Vidya Balan took to her social media handles to announce the release date of her forthcoming movie and the announcement was in no ordinary way. As Shakuntala Devi was a math genius, the makers decided to stick to the essence of the movie and tested the audience's math knowledge. Not directly writing the release date, Vidya shared a video that might puzzle you and wrote, "Get ready to be enamored by her wit, charm & of course, genius! Watch the video to know when #ShakuntalaDevi is coming to theatres near you!"
In the video, the Tumhari Sulu actor first says that the movie will release in exactly 148 days from now. Confused? We were too! Then she again told the release date in a riddle form that would confuse us even more. Finally, the date is revealed in the form of an emoji and as it turns out, 'Shakuntala Devi' will be releasing on 8th May 2020.

Vidya looked strikingly similar to the genius when her first look from the film was unveiled. She supported a bob haircut, a red saree and her face was full of confidence. The film is directed by Anu Menon who has been quite inspired by the life journey of late Shakuntala Devi and always wanted to portray her life on the silver screen. Even Vidya expressed, in an interview, that she is quite excited to star in the biopic.
Besides Balan, the movie also features Dangal fame Sanya Malhotra and Jisshu Sengupta in key roles and is produced under Sony Pictures Productions.
