MUMBAI: Ever since the announcement of 'Sooryavanshi' at the end of Ranveer Singh's 'Simmba', fans cannot wait to witness Akshay Kumar back in the Khaki uniform. Also, what makes it more exciting is it reunites Akki with Katrina Kaif after nine long years and the duo is collaborating with director Rohit Shetty for the very first time.
The trio, however, seems to have a lovely time on the set and the recent picture shared by the female lead of the movie is proof. Katrina Kaif posted a hand-in-hand picture along with her co-star and director and we have to say we are totally crushing it. Taking to her Instagram handle, she wrote, "A perfect start to the year ....friends, laughs, smiles, onset the best crew entire team, everyday on set has been full of so much love and joy, just how films should be made... see u in cinemas March 27th."

All of them are seen in different shades of blue and is such a happy picture. While Katrina is looking at the camera laughing, Rohit and Akshay are looking towards her smiling adorably. Also, Katrina is definitely rocking the saree!
'Sooryavanshi' is the latest addition to Rohit Shetty's cop universe and as per the history says, this one will also be rocking at the box office. It stars Khiladi Kumar in the titular role, playing the character of an anti-terrorist squad officer. Katrina will be playing the role of a doctor as revealed by the director himself while telling how she irritates him asking way too many questions.
He said, "She is wearing a normal salwar kameez, she is playing a doctor in the film. And she is like, ‘Is this right?’ So much theory, I can’t do. After a point, I am switched off. ‘Do you think this grey color is nice?’ Arre, salwar kameez hai. Tu doctor hai. Please aa na, set pe (It’s just salwar kameez, you are a doctor. Just come to the sets please)."

The movie also stars Gulshan Grover and Sikander Kher in prominent roles. It will be releasing on 27th March 2020.
