Irrfan Khan is back in the business after a gap of two years with 'Angrezi Medium' and the trailer is every bit of impressive. As a sequel to the 2017's superhit 'Hindi Medium', the film will be surrounded by very high expectations and by the look of its trailer, that released a few minutes ago, it certainly will surpass all those anticipations.
The trailer opens with Radhika Madan being felicitated for her academics in her school with Irrfan Khan standing beside her like a proud father. He then goes on to give a speech but just like in the original movie, his English is not fluent.
Few seconds later in the trailer, we see Radhika wants to go abroad for higher studies but belonging to a lower-middle-class family, the journey will be tough for Irrfan as he struggles to collect money for the same. Then, the trailer shows a glimpse of the funny, emotional and struggling journey of Irrfan who makes it his aim that he will not let his daughter's dreams remain unfulfilled because of him as he makes sure that in any way, he will raise the required money.
Irrfan Khan is at his best portraying what a parent has to go through for his child. Radhika Madan as the daughter looks refreshing and carries out the apt emotions required for the part. Kareena Kapoor Khan is a police officer in the United Kingdon in the movie who is shown to be an obstacle in Irrfan's life but we are sure she would be a great help in his path. Deepak Dobriyal is the supporting brother/friend throughout his journey and just like all his previous movies, he is hilarious in this as well.
A day before, the makers released a video with a voice-over message from Irrfan who informs that he won't be promoting the film as he is being treated for cancer. He was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor in 2018 and is in London for the cure.
'Angrezi Medium' also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Dimple Kapadia, Kiku Sharda and Ranveer Shorey in prominent roles. The movie will be releasing on 20th March 2020.
