NEW DELHI: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations brings major changes to the ICSE and ISC answer script evaluation procedure for this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The council has decided to decentralize the evaluation work as the examiners will be evaluating the answer sheets at their residences.
CISCE's chief executive and secretary, Gerry Arathoon, "Marking of answer scripts should take place at the residences of examiners during the allocated time period."
Ahead of the start of the procedure, the chief examiner/co-chief examiner/ examiner coordinator of an examination center will be meeting all the examiners for a short span in order to discuss the marking scheme, communicate necessary instructions and then will hand over the boxes of answer scripts to them.
Arathoon said, "It is the responsibility of each examiner concerned to transport his / her box containing the answer scripts safely to his or her residence. If any examiner is absent, the answer scripts allotted to the examiner should be reallocated by the chief examiner/co-chief examiner/examiner coordinator as the case may be amongst the examiner on the first day itself and a record of the same should be kept by them."
On the last date of the evaluation, each examiner will bring back all the answer scripts safely and hand over it to the chief examiner/co-chief examiner/examiner coordinator at the evaluation center.
Arathoon further said that all other material like question marking scheme should also be submitted.
