LOS ANGELES: Elon Musk on the stage at the Tesla Design Center launched the first electric pickup truck from the brand Tesla.

The major highlight of the launch was the looks of the truck. If we think about a pickup truck what we imagine is a big piece of machinery that can pick heavy stuff but Elon proved all of us wrong and a new modern design was revealed.

Features & Specifications:

  • Lockable exterior storage that’s a 100 cubic feet in volume, and can support payloads of up to 3,500lbs
  • Can go 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, and a quarter-mile in 10.8 seconds


Variants:

There are three variants available with different range and different capabilities.

  • 250 miles of range: It comes with a towing rating of 7,500lbs is priced at $39,900
  • 300 miles of range: It comes with a towing rating of 10,000lbs is priced at $49,900
  • 500 miles of range: It comes with a towing rating of 14,000lbs is priced at $69,900.


Soon after the launch, Twitter started flooding with memes over this new design. People are calling it a toy truck and roasting Elon Musk for such a design.
