Meghna Gulzar's 'Chhapaak' has finally hit the theatres and here's a warning, it is not for weak-hearted people. Whenever you hear the word 'Chhapaak', you might imagine something joyful like rain, water and splashes but the movie gives a completely different meaning to the word and it's so strong that you might not be able to relate it with any happy moment.

Gulzar narrates the real-life story of Laxmi Agarwal who was acid-attacked back in 2005 by a 32-year-old man when he was rejected for marriage. The story of Laxmi is inspiring and so is the tale of Deepika Padukone's Malti.

The movie starts with the scene of the nationwide protest against the huge number of acid attacks in our country and to stop it, it will be better to stop the sale of that root of such crimes. Then we get to know how Malti faced all her adversities in life and emerged victoriously.

The impact of the narration of the film is so powerful that it can leave you disturbed and make you analyze all the social evils existing in this world. The movie will leave you with eyes full of tears and heart filled with motivation. It gives a great message of never giving up and to stand up for every wrong done to you.

Deepika Padukone, the HERO of the film. She is back in the business after two years and it could not have been better than this. She is definitely one of the best actors we have in the industry but with 'Chhapaak', she has earned more laurels for herself. It takes guts to portray such a character with such heavy prosthetics and we cannot think of any other actor doing a better job.

What makes the movie more remarkable is its great supporting cast. Vikrant Massey as Amol has proved his acting caliber yet again. He became the biggest support of Malti and fought in every way possible.  Madhurjeet Sarghi as advocate Archana Bajaj is wonderful. Long things short, all the actors in the movie have done a fabulous job.

Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, 'Chhapaak' is just another of her masterclass films. Each scene has been directed carefully and with perfection. It will hit you straight in the heart and mind.

We have to say that no matter the movie was surrounded by a number of controversies and people started the boycott trend, it is going to be a sure-shot superhit. So, book your tickets now!
