Ranchi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accused the Congress of spreading lies over the new Citizenship Law. PM Modi, on Tuesday, dared the opposition to publicly declare that it is prepared to accord Indian citizenship to all Pakistanis.

While there have been protests in many parts of the country over the CAA, PM Modi has assured that there is no need for the countrymen to get concerned about getting stripped of their citizenship. Addressing and election rally in Jharkhand, PM Modi said, "The Congress is spreading lies, creating an atmosphere of fear for Muslims over the new law. Citizenship (Amendment) Act neither takes away the rights of Indian citizens nor harms them in any manner."

The Indian Prime Minister has appealed to the people to remain calm and said that the law was enacted for religious minorities of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan who have fled their countries because of religious persecution and none from India should be tensed about it. This act is not against any countrymen but in favour of those who came to the country with a hope. "The act will bring compassion among the countrymen," stated PM Modi adding, "It's for people who have fled three countries due to atrocities on account of their religious faith. It's for those who are living in miserable conditions and cannot go back."

Prime Minister Nrendra Modi said that opposition should explain how any such act would encroached upon the rights of Indian Muslims and for that matter any citizen of the country. "I dare the Congress, its friends to publicly declare they are prepared to accord Indian citizenship to all Pakistanis," stated the Indian PM.
