Ranchi: Former Jharkhand' Chief Minister Raghubar Das has been alleged of making objectionable remarks on JMM's working president Hemant Soren's caste.
An FIR has been registered against Das based on a complaint lodged by Soren on December 19. Jamtara SP Anshuman Kumar said that a preliminary probe into the matter has been conducted by sub divisional police officer Arvind Upadhyay and then the FIR has been registered at Mihijam police station.
The complaint has been filed against Das at Dumka police station. Soren accused him of making objectionable remark on his 'caste' during an election meeting in Jamtara.
Bharatiya Janata Party Jharkhand Unit spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo has said that soren's absurd allegations against the Chief Minister was a tactic after he was deployed of his remarks that people wearing Saffron Robes were robbing women of their honour, while, Soren stated, "I have filed a complaint with the Schedule Tribe and Scheduled Caste police station in Dumka against the CM, who used objectionable words on my caste during a poll meeting at Jamtara’s Mihijam on Wednesday,” Soren had earlier told reporters. “His words hurt my feelings and honour. Is it an offence to take birth in a tribal family?”
