Maharashtra's COVID-19 Cases Now Reach At 124

MUMBAI: With two other new positive cases for the novel coronavirus detected on Thursday, the total number now stands at 124. The number, which was at 122 on Wednesday, has now risen to 124, said the health officials. 

Earlier on Thursday, two persons, who were admitted to hospitals, were found positive for the pandemic disease. They are currently undergoing treatment.

So far, the state has recorded four deaths- a 65-year-old male, two men both aged 63 years and a 68-year-old man from the Philippines. Maharashtra is the worst-hit state in the country with the highest positive cases and death toll. 

On a national level, India has reported 649 positive cases with the death toll at 13. Globally, the virus has affected more than 4.71 lakh people and has claimed more than 20,000 lives.
