World Sleep Day: Some Food Suggestions That Will Help You Sleep Better!

13th March- World Sleep Day! Today is the special day for all the lazy lads out there! However, it remains no more special when you realize that you won't be able to sleep your day as it is Friday and you have probably left your bed and are working in your office, just like us. Yes, that's sad but anyways, Happy World Sleep Day! It's a day to celebrate everyone's favorite thing. 

Sleep isn't just for your peace, it's utterly important for one's physical and mental health and we all know that. However, there are many people who face trouble while sleeping at night. They witness everybody around them being deep into slumber while they are wide awake.

So, here are some food suggestions that will improve your sleep quality if you take them before going to bed:

MILK: 

A cup of warm milk is a proven most-effective food item that would help your sleeplessness. Considering milk is a good source of tryptophan (which improves sleep in people), it is the easiest method that would put you in good sleep. 

ALMONDS: 

Despite the several other nutrients that an almond consists of, this dry fruit also contains melatonin that is a sleep-regulating hormone. 

BANANAS: 

Bananas also contain tryptophan and also are a good source of magnesium. They both are promoters of good sleep in a person. 

CHAMOMILE TEA: 

It was found in a study that the volunteers who consumed two cups of chamomile tea daily for 28 days fell asleep 15 minutes faster than people who don't. Also, this famous tea is great for other uses too like immunity boost, anxiety, depression reduction and also better skin health. 

KIWIS:

Columbia University, New York conducted a study that found that this Vitamin C and K enriched fruit can be one of the best food items to have before going to bed in order to improve sleep. This is because of their high serotonin content.
