MUMBAI: The trailer of 'Street Dancer 3D' digitally released a day ago and has been receiving a good response. Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor feature in the lead role but everyone knows that Shraddha was not the first choice for the film. On the same, Varun recently revealed that her leading lady was not happy being the second choice.
Superstar Katrina Kaif was supposed to join the cast of 'Street Dancer 3D' but due to some date issues, she had to opt-out of the film. Afterward, the Half Girlfriend girl was roped in who has also collaborated with Varun and director Remo D'Souza on 'ABCD 2'.

Talking about his co-star's feelings, Varun said, "Shraddha was part of the previous film and was bit emotional when she got to know that she is not there in the next one. She asked me why didn't they offer me the film. Remo thought this role was not suitable for her. But after Katrina left the film because of her date issue, it was nice of her to step in and agree to do this role. I think she was destined to do this film."
Remo D'Souza also said that as Katrina stepped out of the film, the script has to a bit modified. He said, "Yes, Katrina had to leave the film because of her date issues and we had to change the script a bit and luckily Shraddha could take up this film on time. We keep thanking Shraddha. She has saved us. But at one point, we did think, 'Now what to do?' It wasn't that she (Katrina) backed out. She had date issues, she had to shoot for Bharat which is why she couldn't shoot with us. We were a bit tense then."

So, all's well that ends well! 'Street Dancer 3D' focuses mainly on the Indo-Pak rivalry on the stage of a dance battle. However, they keep their hatred aside to help the immigrants of their countries living in the US. The movie will release on 24th January 2020.
