MUMBAI: Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi starrer 'Dil Bechara' gets a new release date. The Mukesh Chhabra directorial will now be released on 8th May 2020.
The movie that previously was slated to release on 29th November 2019 had to be postponed. It was speculated that 'Dil Bechara' will be released on a streaming platform just like Sushant's last movie 'Drive'. But, now the makers have officially announced that it will be released in theatres only in the next year.

Announcing the release date of her upcoming movie, the lead actress Sanjana Sanghi wrote, "Dil Bechara, an extraordinary love story very close to my heart will now be releasing on 8th May 2020, only in cinemas. #DilBechara"
The movie is based on John Green's 2012 novel 'The Fault In Our Stars' which was later made into a Hollywood movie of the same name. Back in July when the Hollywood flick celebrated its five years anniversary, a motion poster of its remake was released where Sushant was seen on a bike and Sanjana hugged him tightly from the back.
According to a report, Nawab Saif Ali Khan might play a cameo in the movie. He will be playing the role of author Peter Van Hout that was played by Willem Defoe in the original movie. About the same, Director Mukesh Chhabra said, "We shot in Paris for a week but Saif was only there for a few days. He gelled well with the team and we had a great time."

Sushant Singh Rajput was last seen in Netflix's drama 'Drive' that also starred Jacqueline Fernandez. The actor is enjoying the unexpected success of his last theatrical release 'Chhichore' that collected a total of 135 crores.
