okay, okay, okay, SO filmmaker Matt Reeves shared a camera test of Robert Pattinson as Batman-- costume and all-- on Thursday and sent the Internet into a frenzy.

Pattinson, who is all set to play rich superhero Bruce Wayne in the new film has admitted to prodding Matt for the role and boy are we glad the constant prodding worked. When news of the 'Twilight' star playing Batman made it to the headlines, there was initial reluctance and doubt if he would be able to match up to the likes of Christian Bale and Ben Affleck.

Stereotyped as 'pretty boy', Pattinson is breaking out of the moulds the world is attempting to set for him, as he ventures towards newer roles-- far from his days as a vampire and Cedric Diggory from the Harry Potter series.

Coming back to Batman, the short clip, which is set to an ominous score, starts with a closeup of the new Batsuit before the camera moves towards Pattinson's face where his jawline BE POPPING!

Director Matt Reeves shared the clip on Twitter. See it for yourself:

While every now and then a tweet cropped up about 'Christain Bale being the best Batman', largely, Netizens were accepting of Robert Pattinson and his batjaw.

Here are some reactions:

Talking about the role, Pattinson said, “Out of all the big roles that I knew of in that kind of realm, there was just something about this one. I always think that whatever movie you’re doing, there’s a potential that it’s the last movie you’re ever going to get, and so I don’t want to end my career on a ‘transitional’ movie.”

“You do feel very powerful immediately. And it’s pretty astonishing, something that is incredibly difficult to get into, so the ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating. You’ve got five people trying to shove you into something. Once you’ve got it on, it’s like, ‘Yeah, I feel strong, I feel tough, even though I had to have someone squeezing my butt cheeks into the legs,’” he said about the Batsuit.
