Sharing the poster, director Mohit Suri described the plot of the movie. He wrote, "Love is pure, so is hate. #MalangFirstLook. Trailer unveils on 6th Jan." The poster features a shirtless Aditya Roy Kapur with his ripped muscles. (Girls, are you listening?) The actor is seen screaming out loud with a certain emotion of pain mixed with anger. The tension is so much that even his veins can be seen clearly in the picture.

Besides Kapur, the movie stars Disha Patani as the main lead. Anil Kapoor and Kunal Khemu will be seen in prominent roles. The makers have previously released a casual picture of the lead pair in the mid-November. The duo was seen in a party mood somewhere in the outdoors.

Disha and Aditya were also trained for two long months to shoot an underwater kissing scene. A source told the Mumbai Mirror, "The sequence required Disha and Aditya to be underwater for at least a minute, so the training focused on strengthening lung capacity. It was difficult to shoot in one take as Aditya and Disha had to sync their breathing patterns."

The movie is a high intense revenge drama, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, Ankur and Jay Shewakramani. Director Suri is reuniting with Bhushan as well as Aditya Roy Kapoor after their hit venture 'Aashiqui 2'.
