I Always Try To Be A Part Of Inspiring Cinema: Rajkumar Rao

MUMBAI: The year 2020 marks Rajkumar Rao completing a whole decade in the Indian film industry! This is what the actor had to say on such an auspicious occasion.

Rao entered the industry through Dibakar Banerjee directorial 'Love, Sex Aur Dhokha'. It was the biographical drama film titled 'Shahid', based on the life of lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi, who was assassinated in 2010 that caught everyone's attention and helped Rao gain critical acclaim. He also worked on memorable films like 'Queens', 'Kai Po Che!', 'CityLights', 'Aligarh', 'Trapped', and so on. The actor was last seen on the silver screen in 'Judgemental Hai Kya' alongside Kangana Ranaut.

On completing his decade-long journey in Bollywood, Rajkumar said, "I am glad that in the course of my decade-long journey, I had the honour of working with some of the best minds in the Hindi film industry. It had always been my endeavour to be part of inspiring cinema. I am very happy that for ten years filmmakers trusted me with their vision and placed their bets on my humble talents. On the work front, Rao has some exciting projects lined up like 'Chhalaang' alongside Nushrat Bharucha, 'Roohi Afza' with Janhvi Kapoor, Anurag Basu directed 'Ludo' with Fatima Sana Shaikh, 'Badhai Do' in which he will be seen with Bhumi Pednekar. The actor is also doing an untitled film which will be directed by Abhishek Jain and feature Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal and Dimple Kapadia.

That's not all! Rajkumar has also signed a three-film deal with Karan Johar's Dharma Production.
