MUMBAI: Superstar couple Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap are dealing with the coronavirus pandemic outbreak in their own way. They have shown their support towards the woman rag pickers from New Delhi.
The couple has been closely associated with a non-profit organisation from Delhi known as Gulmeher. The organisation works towards employing waste-pickers who are women and also train them so that they are able to earn a living and support their children and family. Currently, about 200 women work in Gulmeher.

Tahira took to Instagram recently to introduce the people about the workings of the said NGO. She also emphasised upon how Indian helping Indians will establish us as a nation.
She wrote on her post, "While us Indians are impacted with COVID-19, for some people the impact will be much more destabilising, especially economically. We have to protect the lower-income, daily wage-earning community like our brothers and sisters in this time of crisis."
"How we support our fellow citizens of the country at this hour will define us as human beings and Ayushmann and I are doing our bit to support these wonderful women who are braving the coronavirus impact. We are doing whatever it takes for them to support their families and stay at home with them," she added.
She concluded by saying, "Due to their financial instability they are at serious risk because even a single day without earning throws their life out of gear. Ayushmann and I are ensuring we stand with them and support them at this time."

In such dire circumstances, people can't help but think just about their own selves. It is very uplifting to see that celebrities who are known to impress and create an impact on several of their fans are using their platforms in all the right ways to raise awareness and doing all they can to extend their support during the time our country needs it the most.
