NEW YORK: Let us put a wide smile on your face! There is a possibility for a 'Joker' sequel where Joaquin Phoenix will reprise the role of Arthur Fleck and Todd Phillips will put on his director's hat. YAY!
The Joker actor recently revealed that much before the release of the film, he and Todd used to discuss the sequel of their film. Joaquin said, "Long before the release or before we had any idea if it would be successful, we talked about sequels. In the second or third week of shooting, I was like: 'Todd, can you start working on a sequel? There's way too much to explore.' It was kind of in jest - but not really!"
From a time being, there were speculations whether the audience will witness the magic of 'Joker' once again on the silver screen. Earlier in an interview, Phoenix in a statement shut down all the sequel rumors. He said, "I wouldn't just do a sequel just because the first movie is successful, that's ridiculous," and this disappointed all the fans.
