NEW DELHI: Following the worsening situation of India regarding COVID-19, the IAF airmen recruitment test has been postponed. The test, which was earlier scheduled from March 19-23, is now delayed tentatively to the April's last week.
Anupam Banerjee, Indian Air Force (IAF) spokesperson, said, "In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the scheduled test for Airmen recruitment (01/2020) planned to be held in 86 cities from March 19 -23 has been postponed tentatively to the last week of April this year."

India has reported a total of 147 confirmed cases of the novel virus so far. While 14 have been successfully cured, three deaths have been reported one each from Karnataka, Delhi and Maharashtra.
Around 8000 people all over the world have lost their lives due to the deadly virus.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the virus as pandemic and said that the continent of Europe has emerged as the new epicenter.

In order to prevent the spread of the disease in India, the government has ordered partial lockdown as it shut down all the places of social gatherings like spas, gyms, theatres, educational institutions, malls and tourist spots.
