AAP MLA Promises Delhi Waqf Board Job To Jamia's Injured Student

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan has announced a compensation of Rs 5 Lakh and a job at Delhi Waqf Board to a student from Jamia Millia Islamia University, who suffered an eye injury during the anti-CAA protest.

The AAP legislator is the chairman of the Delhi Waqf Board. he stated that he will meet Minhajuddin, who is an LLM student of Jamia, and would provide him the financial help and will also appoint him at the Delhi Waqf Board.
It is to be mentioned that Minhajuddin was injured on Sunday last while participating in the protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 at the Jamia Millia Islamia. He had lost an eye as the protest turned violent.

The student is a resident of Bihar and had alleged that he was studying inside the ibn-e-Sina block of the library on Sunday las when the incident happened. Minhajuddin has alleged that 20 to 25 police personnel stormed inside the library and started raining lathis on students.

A video of him leaning against the wall with a handkerchief partially covering his face has been widely circulated on social media since then.
