Elon Musk Celebrates Tesla Factory Launch In China By Doing A Weird Dance

SHANGHAI: At the launch of Tesla’s Model Y Electric Sports Utility Vehicle Programme in Shanghai, China, Elon Musk busted out some crazy dance moves and celebrated in front of employees and government officials. China is the first country where Tesla launched its first factory outside of United States. The company also delivered its first batch of Tesla cars which were made in China.

Tesla also broke the record in the Chinese automobile sector by being the first car brand to have their products go on sale in just 357 days! Three of the customers received their Model 3 Sedans at the launch event itself. 

Coming back to Elon’s awkward dance moves, the multi-millionaire was swaying to Chinese music when he suddenly shimmied out of his jacket to reveal a shirt with an animated picture of Tesla’s Shanghai Factory. He continued moving along with the music as the audience cheered him on.

At the event musk also mentioned, “ultimately Tesla Model Y will have more demand than probably all the other cars of Tesla combined,” The owner of SpaceX and Tesla seemed overwhelmed as his voice got shaky multiple times while talking at the event.

The launch event had many important guests like the Mayor of Shanghai, Ying Yong along with other senior government officials. Vice Mayor, Wu Qing also mentioned that he wishes to see Tesla produce more ranges of cars in the Shanghai factory.
