As we all know Google has finally launched Pixel 4 in the 'Made By Google' event in London. All the leaks were true. The device has a 90hz OLED display, a dual camera,  a 6gb ram, and a 3d face unlock. There is also a motion-sensing technology called Project Soli.

Now, unfortunately, Google has not launched the Pixel 4 in India and has no further plans to launch it anytime soon.

Google's Official Statement:

Google's official statement about Pixel 4 not being available in India is

" Google has a wide range of products that we make available in different regions around the world. We determine availability based on a variety of factors, including local trends, and product features. We decided not to make Pixel 4 available in India. We remain committed to our current pixel phones and look forward to bringing future pixel devices to India. "

Why is Pixel 4 not coming to India?

The new Motion Sense technology in Google Pixel 4 called Project Soli works on the 60GHz spectrum. This 60Ghz frequency is not available for public use in India. Google tried to get permission for this but failed to get one from the Indian Government.

Now, this is the reason that Google wants us to believe but there can be other reasons too.

The major reason behind this can be the failure of pixel devices in India. Lets's start with

  • Pixel1 (Outdated design)
  • Pixel2 (Bad display)
  • Pixel3 (Ugly notch)
  • Pixel 3A (too expensive)

People are choosing other devices like OnePlus in the same range.

This can be the other reason why Google has not released it's pixel 4 in India.
