There are already some phones available in the market that has a 120Hz Refresh Rate AMOLED panel in them. Asus ROG Phone 2 was the first device to be launched in India which featured a 120Hz refresh rate.
The refresh rate fuzz is not just limited to OnePlus but also Google has embraced the 90Hz refresh rate on their new Google Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL.
Other brands like Realme and Samsung have also opted for this.
The refresh rate is the number of times in a second that a display hardware updates its buffer.
So, a refresh rate of 120Hz means the display is going to refresh its content that is being displayed 120 times in one second. This provides a snappier and smoother experience while playing the games and even a smoother experience while using the phone normally.
