Karwa Chauth is a major celebration for Indian married women where they fast all day for the long life of their husbands. 17th October will be the day on which Karwa Chauth is observed this year. The festival is celebrated with much enthusiasm not only by wives but also by some husbands who fast for their partner too.

Karwa Chauth is the day where you are not allowed to drink or eat anything. That is why we bring to you some of the tips that will keep you going through the entire day. Here are some of the useful tips that you should follow:

Never miss the Sargi: Sargi is the early morning meal that one gets in order to maintain one’s energy throughout the whole day. Your body will not have any other nutrients for the day and that is why it is important to have your Sargi. If you are unmarried and not allowed to have any Sargi then fruits and dry fruits are a good replacement.

Start the preparation prior to the main day: You have to keep in mind that the next day your body will not get any amount of water, so try to keep yourself hydrated and filled from the day before.

Keep yourself busy: If you try to keep yourself busy on the day then your mind would not wander to food. Try to get so involved in the preparations that you do not get enough time to think about your stomach but DO NOT OVERDO IT!

Avoid Caffeine: We understand that your morning tea or coffee is important for you but you can ditch it for one day. We suggest you to go for some fresh juice or coconut water to keep yourself hydrated.
