Man Paraded Naked For Trying To Rape 4-Yr-Old In Maharashtra

On Sunday, Jawahar Vaidya, a 35-year-old man was paraded naked by people for trying to rape a four-year-old girl at her house. The accused was thrashed by people in the Pardi area of Nagpur in Maharashtra after he was found molesting the little girl.

The accused is a daily cash collection agent for a co-operative society bank in the city.

“Vaidya visits the house of the girl every day for collecting cash. Finding the girl alone on Sunday evening, he tried to sexually assault her. Suddenly, the mother of the girl returned home and raised an alarm, following which her neighbours rushed to the spot,” the official said.

Locals gathered at the spot, thrashed the accused, tied his hands with a rope and paraded him naked on the streets before handing him over to the police. What would have happened if the child's mother had not come on time is unfathomable.

After the rape of a veterinarian doctor in Hyderabad, public outrage and disgust are at an all-time high. Citizens are demanding for exemplary and a befitting punishment for the four accused, who brutally raped and murdered the 26-year-old. Jawahar Vaidya, in the face of public demonstration and accompanied awareness, dared to touch the 4-year-old child when he saw an opportunity. The family of the little girl did not know they were visited by a potential rapist every day- which is a disturbing reality of life.

A case has been registered against the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Pardi police station.
