Haryana Chief Secretary's Narrative On Beti Bachao Beti Padhao

Haryana: The chief secretary of Haryana Keshni Anand Arora commented on women empowerment. According to her empowering women should be a matter of mass movement. The movement requires efforts from all the sections of society.

The NCC foundation day celebration took place. A cycle rally was carried out in which girls took part.

During the cycle rally the Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Ankur Gupta, and Director, A Sreenivas & some other officials were present.

Keshni Anand referred to the girls as daughters and said:

"Empowering daughters is a mass campaign, which requires a joint effort from all the sections of the society."

 

The main purpose of the rally was to create awareness among the people regarding the 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' campaign. The campaign also involved a 5000Rs incentive to each and every candidate who participated in the rally.

According to the chief secretary, this gives a message of secularism, mutual brotherhood, building unity as well as discipline. The NCC aims to motivate the youth to do something valuable for the country.

She gave a summary of the history of the NCC and how it was founded in the year 1948 and by 2019 it has crossed more than 1.5 million candidates.
