Current COVID-19 Cases In Nation Cross The 1000th Mark

NEW DELHI: As more than 100 new cases were reported all across the nation on Sunday,  29 March, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases crossed its 1000th mark in India. India had 1,024 positive cases yesterday. The figure is currently is at 1,121 cases and the death toll is at 29.

Meanwhile, in Singapore, 42 new coronavirus cases were detected. In those 42 cases, 3 were Indian nationals.

There are currently 215 cases in Maharashtra. Twelve new cases emerged from the state today, out of which 5 are from Pune, 3 in Mumbai, 2 from the city of Nagpur and 1 each from the city of Nashik and Kolhapur. The death toll of the state is at 8.

Eight new cases also emerged in Madhya Pradesh today. These cases have taken the total number of patients to 47 in the central state. Seven out of these 8 cases are from Indore whereas one is from Ujjain.

West Bengal also had to face its 2nd death dude to a patient being COVID-19 positive on Monday. The departed was a 44-year-old woman who was being treated at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.

Fresh cases also erupted in the state of Tamil Nadu. Out of the 8 cases which have been newly reported, 4 are from the same family which includes an Infant. The family came in contact with 2 Thai nationals who were tested positive as they had travel history. The total number of cases in Tamil Nadu is now at 50.
