Shilpa Shetty Announces First Look Of Her Comeback Film 'Nikamma'

Mumbai: Bollywood's diva Shilpa Shetty, who has returned to films after 13 years, has shared first look from her upcoming film 'Nikamma'. The actress will be back on the big screen after a break of 13 years with Nikamma and has announced that the movie will be released on June 5, 2020.

Shilpa has announced her comeback with 'Nikamma' along with the movie's release date and the first look in the film. Announcing her upcoming flick, the actress took to her Instagram and wrote, "Super excited to announce that #Nikamma is releasing on 5th June, 2019. Have had such an amazing experience working with @sabbir24x7, @abhimanyud & @ShirleySetia, and now, I can’t wait for you guys to watch it! Mark the date! See you in the theatres!"

The movie also features Abhimanyu Dassani and will be a debut film for Shirley Setia. Shilpa, who took a break from movies, stated that the movie would be close to her heart as it would be a new starting for another inning of the actress in the industry. Her last major Bollywood release was 'Apne' by Anil Sharma that came in 2007. The actress, however, had been active on the small screen all these years.

'Nikamma' is a Sabbir Khan directorial and marks his foray into the production as well. Sabbir has co-produce the film under his banner along with Sony Pictures. The filmmaker also shared the release date of the movie along with a picture of the look from the flick. He captioned the image, "NIKAMMA ... Arriving on 5th June 2020. Get ready to meet this lovable couple and of course the sassy Shilpa Shetty who makes a comeback to the screen after 13 years.”

Being a debutant producer himself, the Nikamma director said, 'Nikamma' brought out the talents of the newcomers and gave them a platform to showcase their talent. 
It is to be mentioned that Shilpa had earlier too expressed her excitement about her comeback. speaking about the movie, the 'Dadkan' actress said, "It feels great, I am ready to take that plunge again and looking forward to being back on the big screen. It’s a refreshingly unique project and I am looking forward to working with Sabbir. I loved my role, and it’s something I’ve never down before... I can’t wait for my audiences to see me in a new avatar.”
