NEW YORK: A few days ago, Selena Gomez shared a childhood photo captioning it, “We always go into it blindly”. While the pop star looked extremely cute, her caption left her fans intrigued. Selenators started theorizing that the lyrical title is a hint towards her upcoming music.
These speculations arose as Gomez has previously pulled the same move. She teased us with lyrical captions when she was about to release the song “Back to You”. That is why fans thought that Selena is soon going to release a song or songs.
Guess what? All you Selenators were right! Selena is coming back with a song and she has confirmed it! Today, the actress/singer took to her Instagram handle and posted a beautiful picture with another lyrical line “Rose colored glasses all distorted”.
Then after a few hours of posting the picture, the actress finally decided to stop teasing everyone and confirmed the news by a video. The video featured a theatre where “I saw the signs and I ignored it” was written and the same words were in her caption too. Not only this, she even tagged the music streaming platform, Spotify.
Even Amazon Music has partnered with Gomez for the forthcoming music. She took to Twitter and posted a picture with the caption, “Ask Alexa to follow me [eyes emoji]”.
We don’t know the exact date of the song release but it can be anytime soon. Selena talked about the genre of her music back in June when she appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. She said, “I think there’s always going to be a sense of strong pop in my music, but I definitely explored more with electric guitar, a lot of more soulful tracks underneath things, acoustic guitar, it all kind of hits different places that I feel like is my lane for music. It’s just, ‘live in that world and mellow.’”
