'83: Ranveer Nails The Iconic Pose Of Kapil Dev's Nataraj Shot

MUMBAI: After exciting his fans by releasing the first poster looking strikingly similar to Kapil Dev, Ranveer Singh is back again with another still from his upcoming movie '83. In the picture, Ranveer gorgeously pulls off the iconic pose of Kapil Dev known as the Nataraj shot. 

A few hours ago, the 'Band Baaja Baarat' actor took to his social media handle to share the picture and fans cannot stop applauding him for his brilliance in recreating the pose. He captioned, "NATRAJ SHOT. #RanveerAsKapil @therealkapildev @kabirkhankk @deepikapadukone @Shibasishsarkar @madmantena #SajidNadiadwala @vishinduri @RelianceEnt @FuhSePhantom @NGEMovies @vibri_media @ZeeMusicCompany."

Director Kabir Khan shared the same picture and wrote, "The match that was never televised... a world record innings that India never saw... this April the world will see how history was made on that cold windy day in Tunbridge Wells..."

 

Earlier, Ranveer shared the very first look of him as the former Indian captain on his birthday. He wrote, "On my special day, here's presenting THE HARYANA HURRICANE, KAPIL DEV."

 

'83 is the movie about India's first World Cup win in the year 1983. It will focus on the life of Kapil Dev as well as feature some of the actions on the field that were never televised. 

Besides Ranveer Singh as the captain, '83 also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Sandhu, Sahil Khattar as Syed Kirmani, Chirag Patil as Sandeep Patil, Adinath Kothare as Dilip Vengsarkar, Dhairya Karwa as Ravi Shastri, Dinker Sharma as Kirti Azad, Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma, Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal, Nishant Dahhiya as Roger Binny, R Badree as Sunil Valson and Pankaj Tripathi as their coach PR. Man Singh.

Also, Singh's real wife will play the role of his reel wife as well. Deepika Padukone will be seen essaying the character of Kapil Dev's wife, Romi Devi. The movie will hit the theatres on 10th April 2020.
