My Role In 'Laxmmi Bomb' Was The Toughest Till Date: Akshay Kumar

The year 2019, turned out be very successful for superstar Akshay Kumar. The actor gave 4 consecutive 100 crore hits. He has 4 more films lined up for 2020 like Sooryavanshi, Laxmmi Bomb, Prithviraj and Bachchan Pandey. Talking about ‘Laxmmi Bomb’, the actor in a recent interview revealed that it was the toughest role of his career.

When asked about his character as well as his look for the film, the actor revealed, “I am comfortable in a saree and had no problem shooting in it. I love doing tricky stuff. It is one of the most difficult characters I have played. I had to internalise the character and get the body language right.”

It was alleged that the film ran into some major trouble when director Raghava Lawrence backed out of directing the film. The ‘Airlift’ star clarified that the issues have been put to rest and also appreciated Lawrence’s skill and precision towards directing a horror-comedy.

The ‘Housefull’ fame will be seen alongside Kiara Advani in the film. His look for the film broke the internet and left the fans quite shocked. The actor shared his look for ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ around October of last year on Instagram. He was dressed in a red saree and stood in front of the shrine of Goddess Durga while looking into the camera with a kind of rage. The fans were left extremely curious and impressed.

Tushar Kapoor and Sharad Kelkar will also be seen playing major roles in the films. Produced by Tushar Kapoor and Shabina Khan, ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ will hit the theatres during Eid 2020 and clash with Salman Khan’s ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’.
