Bikram Duggal, Head - Studio Entertainment, Disney India said:
“Over the last few years, Marvel movies have brought about an entertainment revolution in the country. Every superhero from Marvel - be it Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk and even the newer members like Black Panther, Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel - have become household names. Black Widow is one such character who has been integral to the Marvel journey and has been a fan favourite; especially in India. We have seen Natasha Romanoff as a spy, assassin and an Avenger; but she remains a mystery and fans now want to know her origin story more than ever. And as a special treat for these fans; we are releasing Black Widow a day prior to the US,”
The first-look of Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow came out in August. She featured in the poster retaining her leather-clad iconic look but with an upgrade. She was seen wearing a new black and grey suit with a new hairstyle. Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), and Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz) were on her either side.
BLACK WIDOW!!! Official D23 poster I had the honor of painting. She’s very near & dear to me since it’s the gazillionth time I’ve concept designed/painted her. Johansson as Black Widow was last seen in Avengers: Endgame where she sacrificed herself to save Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner. Clearly, since her character was killed off in Endgame, 'Black Widow' is set in a time before the events of Avengers: Infinity War. The movie will follow the story of Natasha Romanoff, who will confront her past. The film will start a new phase for Marvel after Avengers: Endgame.
