MUMBAI: Bollywood's Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan has been away from the silver screen for quite a while now. The superstar was last seen in Anand l Rai's 'Zero' that failed miserably at the box-office. However, it is finally being reported that the Baazigar has signed his next with the filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.
The star has been keen to do a "cool action film" and now his hunt for such film is over. SRK has signed a comic action-thriller and will be directed by the Go Goa Gone fame Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.
A source close to the project revealed that SRK loved the story of the movie that has been narrated to him. The source said, " SRK has signed the stylish action film that is infused with Raj and DK’s brand of quirky humour and will go on the floors next year. It is a space he hasn’t explored yet. An international stunt crew will be designing the action in the film. Raj and DK are currently putting the finishing touches to the script. They will soon finalise the shooting locations and lock the ensemble cast, including an A-list actress for the female lead, crew and technical team."
For quite a while fans have been waiting for Khan to announce his next project. It was also conjectured that he will make the announcement on his 52nd birthday (2nd November) but that did not happen and the fans were left disappointed. While addressing his fans on his birth anniversary, SRK said, "I wanted to spend some time with my children and hear such stories which are loved by the audience. I have been working on a lot of films, with lot of directors and I like to talk about a film only once it goes on the floors. Inshallah, you will know about my next film in a couple of months from now."
But now rejoice all you SRK fans as King Khan might be back with this high-budget project. There is not any official announcement yet but fans are too excited to see King Khan back on the screen. The movie is expected to go on floors next year and will have a release in the year 2021.
