New Delhi: Mikha Singh or fondly known as 'The Flying Sikh' thanks to his running prowess turned 90 on Wednesday. Farhan Akhtar, who essayed the role of the Indian athlete in the movie 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' shared a black and white picture of a young Milkha, wishing him birthday. He wrote, "Happy birthday to the ‘Flying Sikh’ .. love you Milkha-Ji. Wish you good health and happiness always."
Milkha Singh was joined by the 'Dil Dhadakne Do' cast on the happy occasion. Zoya Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Shefali Shah, and Priyanka Chopra ditched their only what we can assume 'strict' diets (Because look at them!) for buttery aloo parathas. The athlete, who is fitter than me at 90, happily smiled at the camera along with the cast.
This came to light only when Anil Kapoor shared pictures from Milkha Ji's birthday celebration in Delhi.
In one picture he looks quite happy with his paratha that was topped by some decent amount of butter.
He also shared a collage of Milkha Singh's throwback happy moments in a frame.
Quite taken by the "unforgettable" butter and parathas, Anil Kapoor shared a plate full of delicious looking Makhan.
He captioned the post, "Happy Belated Birthday, Milkha Singh Ji! Your life, work & story is an inspiration and forever will be! It’s an honour to have met you! Also, thank you for the unforgettable Makhan & Aloo Parathas!"
