MUMBAI: Salman Khan's much-awaited movie 'Dabangg 3' has again made it to the headlines but this time for the wrong reasons. The titular song "Hud Hud Dabangg" has apparently hurt people's religious sentiments for showing the Hindu deities and saints in an inappropriate manner.

The song's depiction of the saints has landed the film into a controversy as Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has asked the Central Board of Film Certification to stop its certification. According to the Samiti, the dancing of people dressed as Hindu saints is clearly an insult to the culture.

In a statement, Sunil Ghanwat, organizer of HJS in Maharastra and Jharkhand states questioned Khan if he will ever depict any other religion in a similar manner. He said, "The trailer of the film ‘Dabang-3’ produced by ‘Salman Khan Films’ which is going to be exhibited on 20th December 2019 has been aired recently. In the song ‘Hud-Hud-Dabang- Dabang’ in the film, Hindu Sages, Bhagawan Shiv, Shriram and Shrikrushna have been denigrated. Sadhus have been shown dancing with Salman Khan in a hideous and objectionable manner. As a result, the religious sentiments of all Hindus have been hurt. The way in which Salman Khan has degraded Sages, will he dare to show Mulla-Maulavi or Father-Bishop dancing similarly?"

We are well aware of how big importance religions hold in our society and that is why this can be a huge mistake on the side of the makers. Twitter is flooded with #BoycottDabangg3 as people are infuriated and thus demand to delete those concerned scenes. See some of the reactions here:

On the other hand, we know how huge Salman's fan base is and thus are here to support the superstar.

'Dabangg 3' will be released on 20th December and also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Saiee Manjrekar and Kichcha Sudeep in prominent roles.
