MUMBAI: It was reported that 'Saand Ki Aankh' co-stars Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar are not having a cordial relation. Now, rubbishing all the catfights rumors, Bhumi said that it was all a prank.
In an interview, Bhumi opened up about her equation with the Pink star and referred to her as her soul sister. She said, "We played a prank on my director. So the whole idea was an April Fool's day joke. People could not digest the fact that we are such good friends. Taapsee and I are very thick, we're like soul sisters. So it was a joke people could not understand how two heroines were not fighting. We've not had one disagreement."
Further, she revealed the reason why both the actors get along so well and that is because they are strong, opinionated women. She continued and said, "We've actually stood up for each other. There have been times when she thought somebody was being rude to me. She's is like Jhansi Ki Raani. We both are very opinionated, strong women. That's why we got along."
'Saand Ki Aankh' that released on 25th October is a decent hit. But, the movie also was surrounded by the controversial topic of ageism. The audience did not like the fact that the makers have casted two actors in their thirties for portraying the role of sixty plus women. People were of the opinion that an age-appropriate cast would have been much suited for the movie. But, all's well that ends well!
On the work front, Bhumi is enjoying the success of her recent superhit 'Bala' and is all set with her upcoming movie 'Pati, Patni Aur Woh' alongside Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday. The movie will release on December 6th.
