MUMBAI: Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna have to be one of the wittiest couples in Bollywood. But, if we have to compare the two, Mrs. Funnybones definitely takes a lead. The actor/writer has never shied away to raise her opinion on any topic and she did it again.

Khanna recently took to her Instagram handle to show the world what gift her husband gave her after returning from the comedy show 'The Kapil Sharma Show'. In the show, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan was given onion earrings that she eventually refused and Akki brought that home for his wife.  Very smartly, the Baadshah actress took a jibe at the current scenario of sky-touching onion prices and also gave Akshay the award of the best present.

She wrote, "My partner returns from performing at the Kapil Sharma show and says, They were showing this to Kareena, I don’t think she was too impressed, but I knew you would enjoy them so I got them for you.’ Sometimes it’s the smallest things, the silliest things that can touch your heart. #onionearrings #bestpresentaward."

While the current price of onions has become a major concern for everyone, this hilarious gesture by Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi Kumar might tickle your ribs. A few days ago, Twinkle shared one more funny post stating the reason why she never asks her husband to make a cup of coffee. We have to say that the couple surely gives us couple goals even after so many years.

On the work front, Akshay is on a promotional spree for his upcoming movie 'Good Newzz'. The movie is a sperm mix-up at an In Vitro Fertilization clinic between two couples who share the same surname. The Raj Mehta directorial also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani in lead roles.

It will hit the theatres on 27th December.
