MUMBAI: The film 'Veere Di Wedding', was probably India's first-ever bold chick-flick. The film was highly appreciated and liked by the youth of the country despite the controversies it followed. It starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in lead roles as free-spirited young women who didn't give a damn about what the society thinks of them.
As the film proved to be a box office success, producers Ekta and Reha Kapoor had hinted towards adding a second instalment to the original and making it a franchise. Even Kareena Kapoor spoke positively regarding a sequel likely happening soon. After her, it is now Sonam who has also mentioned the chances of the sequel being shot soon.
