Halloween might still be struggling to make its way into mainstream Indian celebration, but that does not mean you cannot get into the spooky spirit. The creepy is for all to enjoy.

Thanks to American sitcoms, Halloween needs no introduction. Just to move you up the eerie ladder and put you in a festive spirit, here are 5 Bollywood movies you can watch this Halloween.

1. MAKDEE

Shabana Azmi as the witch is what brown kid nightmares were made of! Halloween is the perfect time to revisit this movie. Do you remember the creepy mansion where ‘Makdee’ resided?

2. BHOOL BHULAIYA

Bhool Bhulaiyaa was a comedy psychological thriller that was directed by Priyadarshan. The plot revolves around a newly married couple Sidharth and Avni, who move back to India, from the United States and start living in an old palace said to be haunted. What ensues is a roller-coaster of laughs and scares.

When you want to be scared…but not too scared, Bhool Bhulaiya is the movie to watch!

 

3. ALONE

If you look beyond the smashing chemistry of Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover and the movie’s erotic packaging, you will find that ‘Alone’ is creepy and somewhat scary. While you will not find anything new in terms of ‘scares’, the movie will definitely leave you spooked.

4. GO GOA GONE

The movie follows a group of friends who are trying to escape a zombie-infested island in Goa. They meet a blonde zombie slayer named Boris (Saif Ali Khan), who claims to be from Russia but is really from Delhi.

If horror is not your cup of tea, this is the movie to watch this Halloween.

 

5. 1920

A huge haunted house, ‘punar janam’, a scary ghost with a creepy past, 1920 has all horror clichés to make it a great watch this Halloween. The movie marked the debut of Rajneesh Duggal and Adah Sharma.
