Next generation of Hyundai’s SUV Creta is all set to launch in India soon. The sources from the headquarters of Hyundai situated in Korea have revealed that the all-new Creta will emerge in the Indian markets by mid-march of this year. The upcoming next-generation model will also be teased at the Audio Expo 2020. The event will happen at Delhi NCR from 6th – 12th February 2020.
The upcoming vehicle will attempt to surpass the former Creta model, in terms of popularity and sales. The model which will also be called ix25, will have a slightly raised number plate, triangular LED tail lamps, alloy wheels and sculpted tailgate with sharp lines. This will make the exteriors of the follow-up model different from the former. The car looks bigger in terms of dimensions as well. Recognisable LED lamps and cascading grilles engulfing the front of the car, flanked by DRLs will be available in the new model.
As far as the interior of the car is concerned, it’s all black with the console appearing bigger in size. There will be a new design available for the infotainment system as well. The digital screen would now be of 10.4 inches. It will have an embedded sim card feature to gain access to emergency response and concierge services. The screen will be vertical and have Hyundai’s Blue Link car app feature to ensure efficient connection.
Coming to the engine of the vehicle, the powerplant of the car is the same as Kia Seltos. Three ranges will be available i.e. 1.5 petrol, 1.5 diesel and the 1.4 litre turbo GDI petrol with 140 break horsepower. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission will remain optional. Not only this, but a 6 speed manual gearbox will also be available in all the engine ranges along with a 6-airbag top spec. The diesel model will have an optional element of a 6 speed torque convertor automatic.
In terms of security, dual airbags, electronic brake-force distribution, anti-lock breaks, side-impact protection will be available. The sunroof will also be available in some models accompanied by internal air purifiers. The seats in the front will hold the ability to power adjust. Customisable flat-bottom steering is also one of the key features of the car.
