he Indian cinema industry is booming with talent and is blessed with some of the most amazing artists and performers. Shining with some of the greatest actors, Bollywood is highly regarded on the international level. While our Bollywood heroes have stolen many hearts and glances with their glamour, action and other exceptional skills, they are men with numerous talents. As you may know these actors for their fabulous blockbusters and famous dialogues, you would be surprised to know about their educational achievements. Let’s take you back in time and give you a sneak peek to their days when these stars were lost in their books.

1. Shah Rukh Khan

Known for his numerous talents, heart-stealing performances, and romantic gestures, ‘King Khan’ is loved by many. But apart from that lovely smile and superb acting skills, Shah Rukh Khan was pretty good in this school days too. While completing his schooling at St. Columbia’s School in New Delhi, he was awarded ‘Sword of Honour’ to encourage him for being an exceptional student at the institution. He further pursued Bachelor’s in Economics at Hansraj College in Delhi, followed by enrolling for Master’s in Mass Communication at Jamia Millia Islamia. However, he went ahead to pursue his career in Bollywood, dropping out of the Master’s course. 

2. Amitabh Bachchan

Big B, Amitabh Bachchan, is one of the most iconic members of the Bollywood. With singing, acting and poetry being the prominent elements of his talents, the actor is par excellence. Speaking of his educational history, Mr. Bachchan has completed his graduation for Sherwood College, Nainital, followed by a double major in Science and Arts from Kirori Mal College, Delhi. Apart from these, he also holds doctorate degrees from reputed institutions like Leicester, De Montfort, Queensland University and Jhansi University. 

3. Ayushmann Khurana

The star of blockbusters like Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho, Ayushmann Khurana is a man of many talents. Besides his acting, he is admired for his poetry, singing and oratory skills. Being awarded numerous recognitions in a short time, he definitely is a great actor. After completing his schooling at St. John’s High School and major in English Literature from DAV College, Chandigarh, Ayushmann has pursued Masters in Mass Communication at School of Communication Studies in Chandigarh. Finally stepping into the industry as MTV Roadies anchor in 2004 and debuting in Vicky Donor. 

4. R Madhavan

Playing roles like ‘Farhan’ from the movie ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Adi Tomar’ in ‘Saala Khadoos’ and numerous Hindi and Tamil films, R Madhavan has delivered fabulous performances in various genres. Also a skillful producer and writer, he is certainly a recognized personality in the industry. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Best NCC Cadet recognition. He has also spent some time training with the Royal Army, Navy and Air Force.

5. Ranbir Kapoor

A crush of many teen girls and a great actor who has made an impression with movies like ‘Barfi’ and ‘Sanju’, Ranbir Kapoor is one of a kind. Alongside his admirable on-screen skills, Ranbir is a smart lad who completed his schooling and went ahead to pursue further studies at HR College Mumbai, only to drop out after 2 years. Following his love for acting, he enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute to work on his skills and be the actor he is today.

6. Amir Khan

One of the renowned Khans leading the Bollywood and a perfection-oriented actor, Amir Khan has set up pretty high standards when it comes to acting. Apart from his performances in various movies, Mr. Khan is involved in a lot of humanitarian work. Though he is a very successful actor now, his academic history isn’t that astonishing. With a tough history, Amir barely completed his schooling and jump into the film industry at an early age. During his school days, he did achieve some recognition as a state champion in tennis.

7. Riteish Deshmukh

The actor with great comic timing, Riteish Deshmukh is going a great job at making us all smile and laugh. Riteish has done a lot of Hindi and Marathi movies and is quite popular among the audience. Apart from being an on-screen star, he is an architect with a degree from Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute of Architecture and Environmental Studies. He also graduated from Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. 

8. Sonu Sood

Although a renowned actor in the Hindi, Punjabi and Southern cinema, Sonu Sood never aimed at being an actor. Till date, he has delivered numerous blockbusters in various movie industries and has been awarded a number of awards for this performance. But in his early days, the actor was dedicated towards studies. After his schooling at Sacred Heart School in Punjab, he pursued his graduation in Electronics Engineering at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering in Nagpur.

9. John Abraham

The Bollywood Hunk, John Abraham is a man with brains and build. The actor has a unique style and with his chartbuster movies, he surely knows how to be the audience’s favourite. Post his schooling at Bombay Scottish School and Bachelor’s Degree from Jai Hind College, John got himself an MBA degree from NMIMS, Mumbai.

10. Varun Dhawan

One of the most celebrated actors of Bollywood, Varun Dhawan has delivered a number of successful movies and played various types of roles. In a very short span, the actor has established himself pretty well in the industry. Varun has done his graduation from HR College of Commerce and Economics and holds a Business Management Degree from Nottingham Trent University.
